C.R. Bard Transvaginal Mesh Lawsuit Settlement Is $21 Million

Boston Scientific Ordered to Release Defective Transvaginal Mesh DocumentsBoston Scientific Ordered to Release Defective Transvaginal Mesh DocumentsC.R. Bard offered a $21 million transvaginal mesh lawsuit settlement that could impact around 500 cases. The plaintiffs who filed these lawsuits against C.R. Bard did so after sustaining serious injuries from the company’s mesh products.

These injuries include transvaginal mesh erosion, which can result in internal damage and chronic pain.

According to Bloomberg, the C.R. Bard settlement would provide each plaintiff with a compensation package of around $43,000.

This settlement is an indication that the sheer number of lawsuits filed against C.R. Bard, in addition to the costs associated with handling the transvaginal mesh lawsuits, could be influencing the company’s decision-making process.

There has been no word yet on whether the plaintiffs in these 500 cases have accepted the $21 million settlement.
