General Motors Defective Steering Class Action Litigation

Carey Danis & Lowe is currently investigating claims that certain model year GM vehicles contain a defect of the ignition switch that causes the key to unintentionally move or switch to the accessory mode while driving, turning off the engine and most of the electrical components of the vehicle.  According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 2,190,934 vehicles contain the defect.

The affected GM vehicles are as follows:

  • All model years of the Chevrolet Cobalt
  • All model years of the Chevrolet HHR
  • All model years of the Saturn Ion
  • All model years of the Saturn Sky
  • All model years of the Pontiac G5
  • All model years of the Pontiac Solstice
  • Model years 2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuit (sold in Canada); and
  • Model year 2007 Opel GT (sold in Europe)

If you own or lease one of the above affected vehicles, you may qualify to act as a class representative in a class action against the company to seek relief on your behalf and on behalf of others who were similarly impacted.
